About
Noam Frommer (b. 2000) is an Israeli artist currently living in New York. Since 2024, she has been studying at the Grand Central Atelier. She works primarily in oil painting and graphite drawing, focusing on portraits and the human figure from observation.

Her interest in painting began in high school during an art history class, when she was first introduced to Jacques-Louis David’s Oath of the Horatii (1784). The painting left a strong impression and led her to begin drawing seriously.

She is motivated by observing reality. Painting from life keeps her connected to the moment and to the person in front of her. Yoga is also an important part of her daily life, and an awareness of posture, breath, and balance influences the way she sees and paints the human figure.
She is inspired by the Old Masters, whose paintings continue to shape her sense of form and light.
